Good sequel. It is short for a multi book series but continues the regression system apocalypse from the first book. Not as much growth as the first book but it was solid throughout. It isn’t even close to a harem book but the main characters main stat is charisma and there are several female characters. I can see how someone would be confused by that.

Death’s Favorite Warlock 3 for me was okay (not great, but okay), but I dropped #4 within the first hour. It was just too much like a wuxia novel for me, where evil people keep doing bad things because they can. What made me drop it is when one of the “MC’s girls” has to work as a call girl thanks to… I think a new boss? Point is I just wasn’t interested in cuckolding.
Yes, I know the MC PROBABLY freaked out and fixed the issue, but at that point I’d just had enough.

It’s def harem, the MC is just “clueless.” There’s like 5 girls fawning over the super handsome charismatic MC and competing with each other/getting jealous over his attention while he cooks for them, promises them dinner, and buys them clothes…
Audio is good, but the harem crap made me tap out sadly since was an interesting/unique premise of a support character regressing and it didn’t do this kind of stuff in book 1.

The protagonist was a womanizer before his regression, but since his return, he had little to no interest in such things (at least as of the end of book 1). Given that his primary stat is charisma, the fawning women is more understandable. Thankfully there are other male characters, so it isn’t literally one mediocre guy and a bunch of women.
A lot of fiction in the tradition of anime have some element of the teenage-boy fanservice/harem fantasy trope.
If the protagonist were a gay guy, then the story would be more or less the same. The fawning women can be ignored.
