Honestly? I’d prefer them to be normal humans as well, but if this is what dominates haremlit and consoomers want, I’m willing to go with it. It’s a good enough substitute.
The funnest thing about exotic/fantasy women is that you can give them special rules that wouldn’t apply to most women, such as willingness to please, naivety, etc. That works.

What does enjoying a sexually charged fantasy either actively written or glossed over in a FTB scene have to do with being “mentally compromised”?
Most of Harem is fantasy, others are purely more Sci Fi, some are planet Earth based, it still doesn’t change the fact that most authors like in other areas of entertainment tend to follow in the wake of others works to piggy back on the success to sell some of their own product, it doesn’t matter if the author is male or female.
Either way, why the hell are you bitching about it in the Harem section of the keywords? If nothing else you slected it looking for a Harem story, and then want to complain about it because about 80% or more of it is off planet Earth.
P.S. Why don’t you go hit up the harem sebreddits and see why they read what they read? Also the constant votes for 1 star and such is really childish.
There I’m done paying attention to the man-child(?) now. I’m sure we’re all guessed that’s the only thing he cares about, otherwise he’d be bitching in a more mainstream audiobook somewhere else on this site, making cnipes about Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve! And other hate rhetoric.

I tried to listen to the authors previous book “Spreadsheets and Spice” but dropped it few hours in because how horribly corny it was.
