  64k awesome.

  I feel bad, as this series is by far one of the best sci fi ever. And I’m taking ever- from Star wars to Star trek and Star-Gate SG1 - It kinda reminds me of SG1 somewhat in places, and I wish I could afford or justice the £37 quid for the audio book- But just can’t - So sorry to Craig Alanson and R.C Bray.

  The chapters are integrated with markers in 1 file.
  If done with ‘true decrypt’ in inaudible then it is also lossless and much much faster to rip with.

  General information for everyone:
  M4a and b are containers (think of as folders) that can contain many things like pictures, sound, data. M4 usually uses AACaudio compression format but M4 can use many others formats, even MP3.

  M4b allows meta data that commonly adds chapter marks and allows users to add bookmarks.

  SmartAudioBook player can do bookmarks for mp3s if you want that.

  As far as sound quality goes AAC and MP3 are close to equal (if at the same bit rate). At certain rates MP3 has better bass; M4a, better “highs” but unless your’re told, it’s impossible to know MP3 from AAC and hard to tell 32kbs from 64.

  I came here to download the book, but after reading the comments I decided to burn an Audible credit on it instead. Since you can also find this book on itunes, the author does not have an Audible exclusive, meaning he earns 25% royalties on the book. Assuming royalties on $14.95 he gets a whopping $3.75. So yeah stealing the book is bad, but you could argue that Audible taking 75% isn’t much better.

  Thanks for the book, and 17 hours of entertainment, buy yourself a cup of coffee!

  Whenever it’s in a multi file mp3 format I always use mp3 Direct Cut and use the batch process to join the files into one file.. Anyways thanks @striider for the up..

  Dallis24, I enjoyed the series so much im going to shoot the author $20. much more then if I bought the books im sure. and I really never do, I don’t feel bad about ripping books, but I do like to support authors directly when I can.

  Also, anything R.C.B is magic. this man’s skippy is dead on, I can imagine this as a real tv series. and I also draw a lot of parallels between this series and the dry humor of Jack O’Neal in stargate.

  one of my favorate shows. it got better and snarkier as it went. like this book.

  If I really love a book I find here, I like to buy the ebook. I feel like it sends some money towards the author, but costs a lot less than the Audible prices.
