It seemed alright at first. Arc’s violence doesn’t seem unhinged because she’s protecting and supporting her best friend, but then about 12 hours in it becomes like some social justice trash, with Arc throwing a tantrum like one of those autistic gen zoomer/alpha retard snowflakes when she rages - and makes threats - to her friend’s father about raising his daughter for life as a noble. It makes the author come off as some virtue-signaling hypersensitive screeching retard.
Medieval/Middle Ages life and culture is very different from modern “progressive” life, and to ignore that is very sanctimonious and intellectually dishonest.

I continued listening to it, and after that part where she goes off on the father like a toddler throwing a tantrum, the rest of the book seems alright.

I actually had an extra credit, and decided to pre-order book 2 because I wanted to see how it continues. It will be out in 9 days and I was planning on sharing it. Of course, anyone who wants to get it on Audible and support the author can do that too.

I haven’t even read the books yet and from what you described it sounded like she was pissed about her friend being controlled via expectation and obligation due to her being a woman.
I’m curious how you’d feel if you were treated like you were both too delicate to do what you wanted while also being required to uphold the expectations of the same people restraining you.
I can answer that for you. You’d lose your damned mind. It’s antiquated bullshit. It would piss anyone off.
