and Ptolemy’s Gate are set mainly in an alternative present-day London. They follow Bart’s relationships with his young master, Nathaniel, and with Kitty, a fiery member of the Resistance against the magicians.
The Ring of Solomon is a prequel, set 3,000 years ago in ancient Jerusalem. Bartimaeus is enslaved to a magician working for the great King Solomon, but things get even worse for him when he meets Asmira, a young female assassin.

@maimai773, really? You’re gonna be that guy? Book 3 was released in 2005. Book 4 which is the prequel was released in 2010. Therefore, it’s still trilogy. You know…kind like Star Wars? But I’ll digress, whatever the f*ck that means.
@thelilbinch, your comment are the exact words of my younger brother whom I initially got these for. He couldn’t remember the titles but he remembered what the books were about and what the covers looked like. Now I’m sharing them with you and you’re very welcome.
