Although the story is compelling, the author uses his characters’ thoughts and dialog to give us a backhanded view of his social and political beliefs.
This book is “virtue signaling” at its finest. At first I thought i was being a bit paranoid or even overly sensitive, but the lecture just keeps on coming as you get deeper into the story. If you don’t like or agree with “woke” propaganda, don’t waste your time on this one.
