Set in England and Hong Kong in the 1920s, The Painted Veil is the story of the beautiful but love-starved Kitty Fane. When her husband discovers her adulterous affair, he forces her to accompany him to the heart of a cholera epidemic. Stripped of the British society of her youth and the small but effective society she fought so hard to attain in Hong Kong, she is compelled by her awakening conscience to reassess her life and learn how to love.
The Painted Veil is a beautifully written affirmation of the human capacity to grow, to change, and to forgive.

Happy to see this uploaded, I was planning to upload this one myself, now that won’t be necessary.
A note of constructive criticism - why not add an image of the audiobook? All this requires is going to amazon, right clicking “copy image url” and pasting into the appropriate field.

dfg, if a poster has such thin skin that a politely phrased request to do what nearly every other poster here does discourages the poster from seeding, then I at least am not going to cry over the loss. Someone that easily put off isn’t going to last long anyway.
I’ll also add that worse than omitting an image is not categorizing it properly. This means that people who browse by category will likely miss the book, simply because the poster forgot or was too lazy to click on a dropdown menu.

“The Painted Hooker” would have been a more playful (albeit not so subtle) a title.
