im a fan of space saving and thx for the uploads,but 8khz @16kbps very low and poor quality and has an echo too. same goes for the other book you uploaded.

Thanks for your posting, your time and generosity.
I think the standard for smaller sized audio books has established itself as 64k where no apparent quality is lost.
Files at 32k or less have the audible equivalent of pixelating. The speech looses its crispness and degenerates into a sound full of chirps and squeaks at the edges of sounds, surely you must be able to hear this at such low sampling rates.Even at 48k much clarity is lost though those ambient sound are avoided.
