Some of the most scary people to a performer must be the self-appointed ‘intelligent’ sneering critics who belittle his or her efforts.
With rare exceptions these same critics are themselves drones who feast on artists, sportsmen and anyone else who rise to eminence and in so doing make themselves vulnerable.
Tell me ‘meh’, what have you given, besides unpleasant remarks, to this site?
How many folk have changed their mind about uploading because of people like you?

Oh! by the way Within,
Fry has narrated Chekhov’s short stories, Oscar Wilde’s stories and Rowling’s ‘Harry Potter’ to name but a few.
He narrated a definitive version of Sherlock Holmes.
He has written books covering Greek and Roman nythology.
These are just the ones I have myself.
I know that he has done a lot of other work which I hope to add to my library some day.
He has worked extensively on TV shows entertaining millions of people.
He is highly regarded by both the general public and by professional people.
If that makes him over-rated, Within, from what dizzy platform are you speaking?
I am willing to stand corrected if ‘Within’ is a pseudonym for say ‘Clement Freud’ or ‘Bertrand Russel’ :-)

Oh, don, don. Could you give any examples of all the times I attacked uploaders? All the “unpleasant remarks” of your febrile imaginings? In fact, I’ve a record of defending uploaders against loopy, weirdy, unbalanced takers, like yourself - to which they have attested. And I’ve made financial contributions. Have you? As I said, 5 stars as usual to the upper. E for effort for the mindless comments.
I even expressed the view there that Fry was good in Blackadder, and defended him elsewhere when he was called an “insufferable snob.” Not all works are great. Many are not even good. Welcome to reality.
